IMAGE AND TEXT Assignment : Task 3 : Research : Modern Digital In-Camera Effects : Vaseline Blur



The first step in creating a vaseline style blur is selecting the image that you want to work with and duplicating the layer.




Next go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.



When a little box like this comes up, slide the arrow to choose how blurry you want your image to be.



Using the eraser tool, select a part of the image that you want to be visible or in focus (in this case it was the leaf) and erase that area to create a vaseline blur effect around the subject in the image.
