So I ordered myself some very cheap plastic flash diffusers - £6 from Amazon. Overall I am very pleased with them for the price, I didn't think that they would input as much colour as they do to an image (the above images have not been edited in any way). The white one is especially good for taking portraits - softens the flash on a person's face - flashes can often be overpowering and wash someone out!
